Sportsmen's Club of Clifton Park has 3 Trap fields. They are equipped with Pat-Traps, the new wireless Canterbury Voice Release Systems, and are lighted for night operations. All Fields are ATA certified and wheelchair accessable. The Trap Committee manages all Trap operations.  Hearing and eye protection are required on the Trap fields.

use of the trap fields

The Board of Directors has instituted some new procedures for use of the Trap fields by members that wish to use hand clay throwers or privately owned clay throwing machines.  The changes are necessary to (a.) insure the range safety fans and shot fall area limits are not exceeded, (b.) To limit damage to the blacktop area of the fields and trap houses and (c.) Keep the trap fields free of litter.

Use of trap fields for private machine, or hand throwing, of clay targets, must be in accordance with the positions, angles and restrictions in the SOP posted on the Trap bulletin board, located inside the clubhouse.

Questions or suggestions for improving our Trap operation, should be directed to John Donahue 235-5582 or John Lee.
