NEW 300 YD RIFLE RANGE RULES - PLEASE READ!

New Muzzle-Loading/Black Powder Range Rules!

The club currently has a 200-yard rifle range with target stands at 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards. All stands are 3-inch pipes on a 24-inch center, except for the 200-yard position which includes a second pipe stand to accomodate larger 3ft frames for high-power league shoots. The range boasts a large covered firing position with limited parking immediately adjacent. There are currently 6 heavy shooting benches that accommodate either right or left-handed shooters.

While the club does try to maintain a number of target frames for use throughout the year, and especially during hunting season, it is recommended that shooters bring their own frames with them. Targets (paper or otherwise) are not to be placed on the berms. All targets must attached to an appropriate frame to ensure the shooter’s own safety, and the safety of others in and around the club property. There is no shooting at targets under 50 yards, again for safety reasons.

THERE IS NO GARBAGE PICK UP AT THE CLUB. Please, for the enjoyment and safty of others, please take out whatever target materials you bring in. The club currently runs a Light Rifle 3-position league in the spring. This league is open to any rimfire rifle and normally runs for 8 weeks on Saturday mornings from 10am to 11:30am (depending on the number of shooters). The league shoots at 50 yards and is a handicapped league so no one shooter has an unfair advantage. There is a separate classification for under 18 year olds. The cost for the league is normally $15 ($10 for 18 and under).

During the fall, instead of a scheduled league, the club is looking to conduct several monthly novelty shoots. Each shoot will be conducted as an individual match and will be open to any rimfire rifle. Please check back to this web page, as details of the novelty shoots are worked out, additional information will be posted.

During the summer, the club conducts a high-power NRA-sanctioned league for conventional and sporter (hunting) rifles one Saturday a month. Shooting begins at 10am and runs until noon. This league is three position, shooting 50 or 32 rounds. The normal course of fire is four stages, slow fire standing, rapid-fire sitting and prone, and slow fire prone. All targets are at 200-yards. For the conventional prone positions, 300 and 600 yard reduced targets are used. The rapid-fire stages use adjusted times for conventional and sporter rifles. The cost for the league is $25 ($20 for 18 and under). If you are interested in trying out High-power, but don't want to commit to the full league, you may shoot single days for a $5 target fee. You will not be eligible for NRA classification though.

While the club does not currently run any other rifle events, we are always looking for ideas or events of interest to our shooters.
